Belleville Ave and Oak Street 2020

The TIA photo was taken from the railroad bridge near Belleville Ave and Oak Street. The house on the right and the house in the center are still standing. They face Spruce Street. The color photo is the view of those houses from Spruce Street.

Comment from John Gibson, July 2020. All of the houses in this photo front on Spruce Street. The building on the right belonged to William Powell. He ran a taxi service using horse-drawn carts (seen in the photo). My grandparents who lived behind him on Oak Street used his service may times. His daughter, Evelyn Hossic raised her family there. She died in 2004. She was a member of the Church on the Green.
